These my works are a process of thinking about harmony from familiar scenery. Twigs and leaves obtained depending on the season and wind, molting bird feathers, and pebbles from the river flowing through the village. I am rethinking balance by using materials created in accordance with the cyclical rhythm of the scenery surrounding my studio. A scenery is like an opera or an orchestra, with many interrelated elements. Arietta Mobiles, which has been reconstructed by taking elements from the scenery, is a solo part of the scenery. A small aria of scenery is swaying in the small breeze that enters through the window.

これらの作業は、身近な風景から調和について考察する過程です。季節や風によって得られる小枝や葉っぱ、換羽した鳥の羽、集落を流れる川の小石。スタジオ周辺の風景が周期的なリズムに則って生み出す素材を用い、バランスを考え直しています。風景は多くの要素が関連し合うオペラやオーケストラのようなもの。風景から要素を得て再構成したArietta Mobilesは、風景の独唱部分であり独奏部分です。風景の小さなアリアは、窓から入る小さな風にそよぎます。

Scenery of each region has its own rhythm and balance.

My studio is located in a mountainous area near Tokyo. Forestry has flourished here since ancient times, and there is a nameless scenery where many animals, plants, and people's lives intermingle. Scenery is constantly changing due to their unique rhythms influenced by the seasons, wind, rain, and snow. And the animals and plants that live there cyclically produce a variety of materials according to their own rhythms. Many wild birds live in the scenery, and migratory birds also visit depending on the changing seasons. Molting to their own rhythms, they contribute to the inherent balance of the scenery. Deciduous trees shed their leaves in the fall, and evergreen trees shed their leaves when the wind blows. The twigs of trees that grow branches every year are broken and fallen by the wind and snow. The layered rhythms influence each other and have a unique balance that exists as a scenery.

私のスタジオがあるのは東京近郊にある中山間地。古くから林業が盛んな土地で、多くの動植物と人の暮らしが入り混じる名もない風景があります。四季や風、雨や雪に影響される固有のリズムによって風景は常に変化し、そこに暮らす動植物はそれぞれのリズムによって多様な素材を循環的に生み出しています。風景の中には多くの野鳥が暮らしており、循環する季節によって渡鳥も訪れます。それぞれのリズムで換羽する彼らは、風景がもっている固有のバランスに関与しています。落葉樹は秋に葉を落とし、常緑樹は風が吹くと葉を落とします。毎年枝を伸ばす木々の小枝は、風や雪によって折られて落ちてきます。重層するリズムはお互いに影響し合い、風景として存在する固有のバランスをもっています。

I wonder how many complex chains are behind this simple chain of balance.

A scenery is like a stage where each element is closely related to each other. The details of the scenery are constantly changing. If I pay attention to the rhythms of the various plants and animals that live in balance in the scenery, I will have the opportunity to encounter materials one after another as the seasons change. I am interested in elements of scenery that I find, backgrounds of twigs and feathers. Why is it here? What kind of relationship do they have with their neighbors? Sometimes it is connected to the history and culture of the region, and sometimes it is something that has just arrived. They may support the old balance, or they may be factors that change the balance. This series of creations is born out of my process of thinking about harmony, learning about the rhythms and interconnected balance of scenery elements.

風景はそれぞれの要素が密接に関連し合う舞台のようなもの。風景のディテールは常に変化しています。風景の中でバランスを持って暮らす多様な動植物が持っているそれぞれのリズムに留意すると、季節の変化とともに次々と素材に出会う好機が訪れます。私は自分で見つけた風景のエレメント、小枝や羽根の背景に関心を持っています。なぜここにあるのか。近所の人（鳥なども含めて）とどんな関連を持っているのか。地域の歴史や文化と繋がっていることもあるし、新しくやってきたものであることもあります。それらは古くからのバランスを支えるものであったり、バランスを変化させる要因であったりします。一連の創作は、風景のエレメントが持っているリズムと相互に関連し合うバランスを学びながら、私が調和について考察する過程から生まれています。

I hope that rhythm and balance will lead to harmony.

A town that changes too quickly can lead to loneliness, and a town that changes too slowly can lead to decline. Perhaps there is a rhythm that is suitable for things that change. The rhythm, which sways within an appropriate range, may provide a dynamic balance. Rhythm and balance lead to harmony. This is my optimistic hypothesis. To begin with, I only understand a small part of the complex chain of scenery, so this is a very vague hypothesis. I feel that if there is anything that knows the whole picture of us all being intricately interconnected, it is the KAZE as wind. Kaze has a lot of neighbors. The wind sheds leaves and branches, carries seeds with the seasons, and makes birds soar. The wind blows across all species. And today wind continues to run through shallow river in the village where my studio is located, and through the valleys of your city buildings.

町の早すぎる変化は寂しさをもたらし、遅すぎる町の変化は衰退に繋がる場合もあります。もしかすると、変化していく物事には適したリズムがあるのかもしれません。適正な範囲で揺れるリズムが、動的なバランスをもたらしているのかもしれません。リズムとバランスが調和に続いている。これは私の楽観的な仮説です。そもそも私は風景が持つ複雑な連鎖のごく一部しか理解していませんので、とてもあやふやな仮説です。複雑に関連し合う私たちの全体像を知っているものがもしあるとすれば、それは風なのではないかと感じています。風は知り合いがとても多い。風は葉を落として枝をおり、季節と共に種を運び、鳥を空高く舞い上がらせます。風は種を超えて吹き渡り、今日もスタジオのある集落の川瀬を走り、あなたの街にあるビルの谷間を駆け抜けています。

I would like my works to be called
『Arietta Mobiles』

The wind comes in through the small windows in my studio. I will look at the individuals I created here for a while. I love and cherish this time very much. That's why I create a stage by the window. The scenery that unfolds beyond the window is like an opera or an orchestra, with many interrelated elements. Arietta Mobiles, which draws attention to elements from the scenery, is the solo part of this opera. I open the window like the curtain on the stage rises. What I am creating is a small aria of familiar scenery, Arietta Mobiles swaying in the small arietta that comes in through the window.

スタジオにある小さな窓からは風が入ってきます。創作した個体はしばらくここで眺めます。私はこの時間がとても好きで、大切にしています。だから私は窓際に舞台を作っています。窓の向こうに広がっている風景は、多くの要素が関連し合うオペラやオーケストラのようなもの。風景から要素を取り出して注目するArietta Mobilesはその独唱部分であり独奏部分です。

舞台の幕があがるように私は窓を開ける。私が創作しているのは身近な風景の小さなアリア、窓から入ってくる小さな風にそよぐアリエッタなのです。
