This is a Inutsuge branch that has come out of the rhythm of a young family who has started living in the village and is gradually taking care of the garden. They are my studio neighbors and my miso-making teacher. The base is made of Japanese cedar grown in the mountains surrounding the village. これは集落に若い家族が暮らし始め、少しづつ庭の手入れを進める彼らのリズムで出てきたイヌツゲの枝です。彼らは私のスタジオのご近所さんであり、味噌づくりの先生でもあります。土台に使用しているのは集落を取り囲む山々で育てられている杉。 This branch that I received as a miso-making student was very hard and covered with thick bark. When I carefully removed the bark all the way to the tip of the branch, I found countless traces of where the branch had broken.
