These are fragments of old structures polished by the valley water and twigs dropped by the cherry trees planted along the riverbank. 谷の水が磨いた構造物の欠片と、川岸に植えられた桜が落とした小枝です。 In the mountainous area near Tokyo where my studio is located, villages are dotted along the river that runs through the valley. A river flows around the studio, and there is a small dam upstream. KAMO（Ducks?） are often seen when searching for leaves and twigs. They are neighbors who are familiar with calm areas and build small paths along gently sloping banks. White Heron in love swaying in the wind 風にそよぐ恋する白鷺 I came across a very large colony of white herons. This is a decorative feather of a white heron that I found under the colony. These are special feathers with a rhythm that grow during the love season and fall off when nesting. 白鷺のとても大きなコロニーに出会いました。これはコロニーの下で見つけた白鷺の飾りばね。恋の季節に生えてきて、営巣すると抜け落ちるリズムを持った特殊な羽根です。 This is the only season when herons shed their decorative feathers.
