Bird flies in the wind and spread the seeds 小鳥は風に舞い種を撒く - - - Hiyodori perched on a Yuzu tree. Yuzu trees that grow in the area surrounding the studio brighten up the scenery with their yellow fruits. Yuzu has sharp thorns on its branches that protect the fruit and young branches. Although the thorns are troublesome, the Hiyodori avoids them and pecks at the carefully cultivated fruit. The wood is japanese cedar grown in the mountains surrounding the village. It was also used for village buildings, and was a material that created the townscapes of the Edo.The stones are pebbles from the riverside in the village valley, polished by the river water. The area where my studio is located has a rhythm of small and large circulations. The village where the studio is located is surrounded by mountains where trees are grown for forestry. Trees grown over several decades are milled into lumber in this city. And the saplings are grown on the outskirts of the nearest city. There is a cycle within a very small area, where a sapling sprouts in the city, grows large on the mountain that can be seen there, and is cut down to become a wooden house in the city.
