I was taught not to break cherry tree branches, and I've come up with a few good reasons why, so I follow that ancient teaching.

私は桜の枝を折ってはいけないと教えられてきました。折ってはいけない理由をいくつか考えついたので、昔からあるその教えを守っています。

As I walked, holding a fallen twig in one hand and a camera hanging from my neck, I saw Hiyodori eating nectar from cherry blossoms. The rumor was true. That's probably why their cheeks are red.

落ちていた小枝を片手に、カメラを首からぶら下げて歩いていると、ヒヨドリが桜の花の蜜を食べていました。ついに見てしまった。噂は本当でした。彼らのほっぺたが赤くなっているのはきっとそのせいです。

I actually wanted to add some cherry blossoms to this mobile of feathers dropped by Hiyodori and twigs dropped by the cherry blossoms. But I still think it's better not to break cherry tree branches. I think it will be cute that their cheeks will still be red next year.

本当はこのヒヨドリが落とした羽根と、桜が落とした小枝のモビールに、ひと足遅く山に咲いた桜の花を添えたかったです。でもやっぱり、桜の枝は折らない方が良いのだろうと思います。彼らのほっぺたは来年も赤い方がかわいいと思う。
