Many wild birds live around the studio. The birds I see regularly are my friends, and the migratory birds are like important guests who let me know the seasons are coming.

スタジオの周辺には多くの野鳥が暮らしています。いつも見かける鳥は友人で、渡り鳥は季節の訪れを教えてくれる大切な客人のように感じています。

They are stable as they perch on twigs swaying in the wind, and when the branches are swaying a little hard they spread their wings a little to maintain their balance. There is something beautiful about their natural, just-right movements on unstable branches.

風に揺れる小枝にとまる彼らの姿は安定していて、小枝が大きく揺れるときは羽根を少し広げてバランスを取っています。不安定な枝にいる彼らの、過不足のない自然な仕草には美しさがあるように思えます。

I started taking pictures of wild birds while searching for twigs. When I zoom in on wild birds with my lens, I discover new things, such as how they tremble their tail feathers when they sing loudly, or what they eat in each season. However, if I am too greedy and pick up twigs, I can't immediately get my camera ready. I think it's important to have just the right amount. The key is to carefully select the twigs I want to pick up.

私は小枝探しの最中に、野鳥の写真を撮るようになりました。野鳥の姿をレンズで拡大していると、大きく鳴く時は尾羽を細かく震わせていたり、季節で何を食べているのかを知ったり、私の中での新しい発見があります。しかしあまり小枝を欲張って拾うと、とっさにカメラを構えられなくなります。過ぎたるは及ばざるが如しと呟いてみたり、大は小を兼ねるなどと言ってみたりしていますが、過不足なくいるのが重要なのではないかと思ったりしています。小枝はとっておきのものに厳選して拾うことが肝心です。

Some trees give fruit to small birds so that they carry seeds, while others give nectar to birds so that they carry pollen. What birds are in this area right now? Which trees are bearing fruit or flowers at this time of year? When the rhythms of the scenery resonate, the scenery becomes very lively. When a comfortable breeze blows and the elements of the scenery influence each other, I think the scenery becomes dynamic based on that balance.

小鳥に実を与えて種を運ばせる木々もあれば、花の蜜を与えて花粉を運ばせる木々もあります。何の鳥がいまこの土地にいるのか。どの木がこの時期に実や花を付けているのか。風景のリズムが共振する時、風景はとても賑やかになります。心地よい風が吹き、風景の要素が互いに影響を及ぼしあうとき、風景はそのバランスに基づいて躍動するのだと思います。

I wonder how many complicated chains are behind.
I hope that rhythm and balance will lead to harmony.
