TONBI dancing in the sky above the village : Rotate_individual

TONBI (kite) is circling in the sky above the village. The sight of them circling in the sky with their unique song is an essential element of the idyllic Japanese scenery. The TONBI that circle around my studio renew their feathers every six months or year.

集落の空には鳶が舞っています。特有の鳴き方で空を旋回する姿は、牧歌的な日本の風景に欠かせない要素です。私のスタジオ周辺でも旋回している鳶は半年から１年程度で羽を更新します。

The large, bent tree is the trunk of an azalea that was planted when a park in a neighboring town was developed. The azalea festival that attracts many visitors every spring is supported by the work of local residents to replant the tree. I said I would help out too, and I think this will be a good relationship.

大きく曲がった木は隣町の公園が整備された際のツツジの幹。毎年春になると多くの人が訪れるツツジのお祭りは、地元の人たちによる更新作業によって支えられています。私も手伝いますと言っているのですが、これは良い関係になると思っています。

Both living things and plants produce emissions during the course of their lives. It has a unique rhythm and a balance between different things. I am conscious of the rhythm and reconsidering the balance one by one. I hope that rhythm and balance will lead to harmony.

生物も植物も、暮らしを営む過程で排出を行います。そこには特有のリズムがあり、異なるものとのバランスが成り立っています。私はリズムを意識し、ひとつずつバランスを考え直しています。

As you search for a beautiful posture as an object, you will get closer to the posture when you were catching the wind with your wings. This is also true for twigs and leaves, and the ideal posture seems to be the way they were when they were functioning. Leaves move as if they are swaying in the wind, but feathers move as if they are catching the wind.

物体として美しい姿勢を探していくと、翼で風を捉えていた時の姿勢に近づいていきます。これは小枝や葉に関しても感じることで、あるべき姿勢はそれが機能していた時の姿のように思えてきます。葉っぱは風を受けるとそよぐように動きますが、羽根は風を捉えているように動きます。
