In the neighboring town, an azalea festival is held every spring. These are azalea branches that came out during the maintenance work for the festival.
And then a Hiyodori flew over to them.

隣町ではツツジのお祭りが春になると開かれます。これはそのメンテナンスで出てきたツツジの枝。
そこへ飛んで来たのはひよどりです。

Every spring, the townspeople eagerly await the blooming of the azaleas, working together to cultivate them. After the festival ends, accompanied by the flowers, it's time for pruning before the peak of summer arrives. To ensure the azaleas bloom again next year, the townspeople work busily in rhythm with the azaleas.

毎年春に咲くツツジの花を心待ちに、町の人は力を合わせてツツジを育てています。花と共に祭りが終わると、夏の盛りが来る前に剪定の時期が訪れます。来年も花を咲かせるために、ツツジのリズムに合わせて町の人は忙しく動きます。

Hiyodori are waiting for the azalea blossoms to appear.
They enjoy comparing the nectar of each flower, starting with the camellias in winter, then the plum blossoms in early spring, and finally the cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring.

そんなツツジの花を待っているのはひよどり。
冬の椿に始まり、早春の梅、春の桜にツツジと、蜜の食べ比べを楽しんでいます。

I might have misheard, but according to honeybee, there's a proverb "Asking Hiyodori with red cheeks about which flowers are tasty." I note it meant something like, "Be a polite humble bee...”The information is uncertain because the buzzing of the bees' wings is very difficult to hear.

聞き間違いかもしれませんが、蜜蜂によれば、美味しい花はほっぺの赤いひよどりに聞け。ということわざがあるそうです。誰にでも尋ねられる、謙虚な蜜蜂であれ、というような意味だった気がするのですが羽音で聞こえにくく、とても不確かな情報です。

The polite humble honeybees are always hard at work, but Hiyodori sneak a bite of azalea FLOWERS while carrying pollen. This brings a wry smile to both the bees and the townspeople.

礼儀正しい謙虚な蜜蜂はいつも仕事熱心ですが、ひよどりは花粉を運ぶ間にツツジの花をつまみ食いします。これには蜜蜂も町の人も苦笑いです。

The azalea festival, which arrives every year on a regular rhythm, is always bustling with activity. People form communities in accordance with the rhythm of the azaleas, and insects and birds gather there as well. There are various opinions on who should be included as a members of the Azalea Festival Organizing Committee, However insects and birds might also consider themselves members. I feel that the balance of the scenery continues as they mutually influence each other.

毎年のリズムで訪れるツツジのお祭りは大賑わい。人はツツジのリズムに従ってコミュニティをつくり、そこへ虫も鳥も集まってきます。お祭り実行委員会の会員をどこまで含めるのかには諸説あるけれど、虫も鳥も会員だと思っているかもしれません。相互に影響を与えながら、風景のバランスは続いているのだろうと思います。
