River Cormorant and White Heron live in the same river, but their preferred places are slightly different. it seems just right.

川鵜と白鷺は同じ川に暮らしているけれど、好みの場所は少し異なります。
どうもそれがちょうど良いように思えます。

This is made from feathers dropped by river cormorants and twigs floating down the valley where they live. The base is made of cedar trees grown in the surrounding mountains.

これは川鵜の落とした羽根と、彼らが暮らす谷を流れる小枝。周囲の山々で育てられている杉が土台です。

From white to pale gray, then to bluish-black. Looking at the feathers they dropped, it was as if a river in a valley had shallow waters with white waves and deep green pools. I feel that I can find richness even in things that are not uniform.

白から淡い灰色を経て青みがかった黒へ。彼らが落とした羽根を見ていると、白い波をたてる浅瀬から深緑の淵を持つ谷の川のようでもあり。均質ではない事の中にも豊かさがあるように思えます。
