A twig, on its leisurely way back to the earth, is caught on a pebble that had dozed off in the shallow water. A heron, standing in the valley where the wind blows, lets its soft feathers flutter in the breeze.

うとうとしていた浅瀬の小石に引っかかっているのは、のんびり土に還る途中の小枝。風の流れる谷に佇む青鷺は、柔らかいその羽根をなびかせます。

I gather the small delights I find in our scenery to create tiny scenery that sway in the breeze. The gentle breeze coming through the studio window is part of the wind that sweeps down the mountains and gathers in the valley.

風景の中で見つける小さな喜びを集めて、私は風にそよぐ縮景をつくります。スタジオの窓から入るそよ風は、山を滑り谷に集まる風の一部。

The small delights I gather emerge when I pay attention to the layered rhythms within our scenery. They seem to be interconnected based on a balance unique to the region, constantly swaying in the breeze.

私が集める小さな喜びは、風景の中に複層しているリズムに留意するとあらわれてきます。それらは地域固有のバランスに基づいて相互に関連し合い、たえず風にそよいでいるように思えます。

I hope that rhythm and balance will lead to harmony.
