Grooved square timbers are the result of a long process. Many large zelkova trees grow along the river that flows through the village. The rodded twig is a bunch of Nanten ( The stem-like part of a bunch of grapes. What should I say? ). Nanten grows all over the region. After admiring the small white flowers in early summer and enjoying the red fruits with the wild birds in winter, these hard bunch remain every year.

溝を付けられた角材は長い時間をかけて得られた物です。集落を流れる川沿いには大きな欅が多く育っています。ロッドを付けられた小枝は南天の房。地域の至る所で育っています。初夏に小さな白い花を愛で、冬に赤い実を小鳥と共に楽しんだ後、この硬い房が毎年残ります。

I unravel the cyclical rhythms that overlap in the scenery, and reconsider the balance while applying appropriate role to the materials. It's not constant, but it sways in the wind with a repeating rhythm.I feel that there is relief in repeating something within a range that can be loosely connected to memory.

風景の中で重複する循環的なリズムに留意し、素材に適した役割りを与えながらバランスを考え直しています。一定ではないけれど、繰り返されるリズムで風にそよぎます。記憶とゆるやかに接続できる範囲で繰り返される事には、安定があるように感じています。安定というか、安堵というべきかもしれません。
