When the tree is young, it has many thorns, and when it is pruned, the number of thorns increases. Designs that utilize this property to create boundaries in daily life feel futuristic. It is a material that is created according to the rhythm when the scenery is cared for by its inhabitants. It produces white flowers in winter and bears fruit in summer, attracting small birds.

柊は魔除け・縁起の良い木とされ集落の生垣によく使われている植物です。幼木の頃は棘が多く、剪定されると棘が増えるそうです。その性質を利用して暮らしの境界を作るデザインは未来的なようにも感じます。風景が住人に手入れをされると、そのリズムに従って生み出されてくる素材です。冬に白い花をつけ、夏に実がなったら小鳥がやってきます。
