The branch that is swaying and caught on pebbles in river shallows were probably dropped by the wind. I believe that by breaking, the tree protects its trunk, prepares for the coming spring, and grows new branch and buds.

川瀬の小石に引っかかって揺れている枝はおそらく風が落としたもの。折れる事で幹を守り、またくるであろう春に向けて備え、新しい芽を育てていくのだろうと思います。

The new brass-mended branch influence the overall attitude. I reinforced the unstable branch with a brass rod and provided a fulcrum at the branch's unique center of gravity. This is a preparation for creating new branch.

真鍮で繕われた新しい小枝は、全体の姿勢に影響を及ぼします。不安定な形状の枝をロッドで補強し、この枝が持つ固有の重心に支点を与えました。新しい芽をつくるための見立てと備えです。
